Callero is a small start up, by Ethan Taylor. Aiming to sell West African sauces and donate a percentage of the profits to charity’s in West Africa. Callero is the name of the large traditional cooking pot used in The Gambia. Everyone eats out of the same pot and so the brand is meant to represent coming together for a meal and family.
Colour is a very important part of West African culture, this was an integral part of the brand identity. The creation was intended for people to explore a whole new culture and food style, while at the same time helping the people who inspire it. This resonated with my design principles.
Creating patterns and using colour is a key part of this brand. We created something that incorporated both colour and traditional patterns.
